Job Title: Director of Sales, West Coast Region


There has never been a more exciting time to be involved in the space electronics industry.  From goals to make humanity interplanetary, developing direct to device satellite internet constellations, low gravity manufacturing of medicines and materials, to safeguarding our homeland from hypersonic missile threats, the space industry is quickly becoming a whole new burgeoning economy.  If you are interested to be a part of the new megatrend, VORAGO is at the center of it all!

We are looking for a person who will be responsible for shaping and driving the company’s Tier 1, Tier 2 customers and Partners (Reps, Distributors) revenue generation in the aerospace and defense as well as Industrial market. Working as a key member of the sales and biz dev team, he/she will lead the company’s sales activities including business development, distribution, channel strategy and FAE management. The role will report directly to the VP Global Sales and will preferably be located in California, but remote locations are also supported. This position requires a senior account executive with strong operational, leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as experience in the aerospace and defense industry. The ideal candidate brings semiconductor knowledge to the company and has been actively involved in product and service Sales. He/she preferably held positions such as a Sales or Account Executive.

    • Develop a solid and trusting relationship between all Tier 1, Tier 2 accounts in the aerospace and defense industry

    • Support all VORAGO partners including distributors and representatives, including opportunity management, tactical support and account development

    • Develop a complete understanding of account needs from beneficial products and services to forecasting demand and life-cycle management

    • Anticipate account changes and improvements, such as customer contract awards, feedback on new product ideas, or strategies to help customers succeed

    • Manage communications between accounts, internal teams, and partners

    • Strategic planning to improve account results that will turn into long-lasting relationships 

    • Negotiate contracts with accounts and establish a timeline of performance

    • Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members and stakeholders

    • Meet all account needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines

    • Analyze account information to provide customer relationship management

    • Expand existing contacts and relationships with key account customers

    • At least 10 years sales experience in aerospace and defense industry with established relationships

    • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels

    • Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners

    • Proven evangelical sales track record in a new product/new market environment

    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a result driven, team oriented environment

    • Experience with a specific sales methodology, sales funnel management

    • Experience in choosing, deploying and using technical sales resources (FAEs)

    • Work history in semiconductor or related technical fields

    • Excellent communication and people skills. An individual who is straightforward, articulate, and tactful with others.

    • An accomplished presenter. Will be capable of conveying complex concepts in simple terms and of tailoring their presentation style to suit their audience.

    • Must be able to work and communicate effectively at all levels

    • Inventive, open-minded and reliable

    • Hands-on doer with a strong startup mentality

    • Proficient with MSOffice software and Salesforce
